FAQ
Who is this trip for?
Our trips are best suited to guests who enjoy sailing, being on the water, and a relaxed, flexible pace.
If you’re looking for a private, unhurried experience rather than a packed programme, you’re likely a good fit.
Is the sailing holiday private?
Most of our sailing holidays are private, meaning the entire boat is reserved for your group only.
We also offer a limited number of shared cabin trips on specific dates.
These are clearly identified as shared trips and booked separately.
If privacy is important to you, we’ll always make it clear which option you’re booking.

Who will be onboard with us?
You’ll be sailing with us — Kata and Peter (Panda), the owners and operators of Aqua Panda Sail.
We host every trip ourselves and live onboard full-time.
We also live onboard with our dog, Csoda.

Tell us about Csoda (the dog)
Csoda is a friendly and alert Border Collie–Australian Kelpie mix and part of everyday life onboard.
She enjoys being active, joins daily walks ashore and spends a lot of time relaxing on deck.
She can be a bit vocal at times, particularly when reacting to birds or aircraft.
This is usually brief and part of her role as an enthusiastic onboard lookout.
Because Csoda is part of everyday life onboard, this experience is best suited to guests who are comfortable sharing space with a dog.
(Csoda’s contribution: daily shore walks, ball supervision, and keeping an eye on the surroundings.)

How much privacy do we have onboard?
Privacy is very important to us.
On private trips, the boat is reserved exclusively for your group.
On shared cabin trips, cabins remain private, while shared spaces are used respectfully.
We’re always mindful of giving guests their own space and time, both onboard and ashore.

What are the bathrooms like?
Most of our trips are planned for up to four guests, using the two larger stern cabins.
Each of these cabins has its own private bathroom and toilet.
The shower and toilet are in the same space, as is typical on boats.

What is comfort like onboard?
Comfort onboard is practical, functional and relaxed.
The boat is designed for live-aboard sailing, with shaded outdoor areas, comfortable cabins and shared spaces that work well for spending time together or apart.

Do we need sailing experience?
No sailing experience is required.
Guests are welcome to be involved in sailing if they’re interested, but it’s completely optional.
You can also simply relax and enjoy the experience.

What is a typical day like?
There is no fixed daily schedule.
Days usually flow around the wind, the anchorage and the group’s preferences.
Some days are more active, others are slow and quiet — both are part of the experience.

How flexible is the itinerary?
Very flexible.
Routes and anchorages are adapted to the group, the weather and the conditions.
Nothing is fixed in advance, which allows each trip to feel natural and unhurried.
Do we sail every day?
Most days, yes — we typically plan to visit at least one new anchorage each day.
Sailing time varies depending on distances, conditions and what the group enjoys.
Some days are short hops between nearby bays, while others involve longer sails.
If the group prefers to stay longer in a favourite spot, we can slow the pace — always guided by weather and conditions.

What activities are included?
Activities naturally fit around the sailing and the anchorages.
These can include swimming, snorkelling, walks ashore, relaxing onboard and sailing itself.
Other activities are optional and depend on conditions.

Can we kitesurf or foil during the trip?
Yes — independent kitesurfers and foilers are welcome.
We adapt locations and timing to conditions so these activities can fit naturally into the trip when possible.

Is diving possible?
Diving is arranged through licensed local dive centres.
Equipment, guiding and certification requirements are handled directly by the local operators.

What if the weather changes?
Weather and conditions always guide decisions at sea.
We adapt plans to ensure safety and comfort, which may mean changing routes, timing or anchorages.
Flexibility is part of the experience.

Do we stay in marinas?
We plan to anchor whenever possible.
If guests prefer to stay in marinas, marina fees are the responsibility of the guests.

How many guests can join?
Most trips are planned for up to four guests, using the two larger stern cabins.
This setup offers the best balance of space, comfort and privacy onboard.
How does booking work?
Once dates and details are agreed, the trip is confirmed with a booking deposit.
Full details are shared during the planning stage.

Is this a party boat?
The atmosphere onboard is shaped by the group.
Most trips are relaxed, respectful and calm, focusing on time on the water, good company and an unhurried rhythm.
If a group prefers a more lively atmosphere, that can naturally become part of the experience.
How do we know if this is right for us?
If you enjoy sailing, flexibility, privacy and a calm rhythm, it’s likely a good fit.
If you’re unsure, the best way to find out is simply to talk it through with us.
